These next few posts are to help newcomers to Azeroth or otherwise know as noobs. Lol, please read if you are new. It is useful!

Character Creation

I have to say that character creation is one of my most favorite things in this game. The best advice I could give you is to make sure you feel comfortable with your character.You will be looking at him/her allot so make sure you choose a race and a look that best suites you. But keep in mind that your favorite race might not have your favorite class available to it.

Then after you do this you must choose a class. This is where things get a little more complicated. Look at each class available to your race. Select each one and briefly read through the class description. Now if this is your first time playing WoW (World of Warcraft) I strongly suggest you to do the following. Pick 2 or 3 classes that look interesting to you. After you have chosen make two/three separate characters. So you have one character for each class that you are interested in. Level these characters each to level 5 or until you get the feel for them. Then base your decision off that. You don't have to do this of coarse, but it might help those of you who just can't decide.

I personally am an Alliance guy through and through, so I will be making a Night Elf Warrior. (I love Night Elfs)

Making Money

As you quest and kill monsters you will find yourself with alot of stuff you don't need. These things you sell to a merchant. Merchants are found all over WoW. They are NPCs that will sell and buy goods. They will buy ANYTHING you have (beside quest items). Some of them will even repair your armor for you (yes, in this game your armor gets damaged as you fight). Now if you are leveling now from 1-17 don't even worry about repairing armor. With completing quests comes new items so you wont have your armor long enough for it to get really damaged. Hint: If you accidentally sell something you didn't mean to you can always click the Buyback tab (as shown in picture) to buy your item back at the same price you sold it.

Social

Before we get started with the leveling part of the game lets talk about the most important aspect of World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft thrives off of online players. Unlike other games WoW is a living breathing world with real player all around the globe. One day you may fight your way through a cave of spiders with a player from Australia. Then the other day trade some items with someone in Great Britain. So making friends in this game will come easy to you (With over 9 million online you are bound to make many friends). Just be polite and help each other out. Who knows he/she might be your new best friend!
